Creating a Contact

  1. Navigate to Fleet Management → Resources → Contacts
  2. Click + New Contact
  3. Enter name, phone, email, and type
  4. Link a Place for this contact's address
  5. Save

Using Contacts on Orders

When creating an order, contacts are assigned to roles:

  • Customer — the person or company receiving the delivery
  • Facilitator — the entity coordinating the order on behalf of the customer

Contacts linked to an order receive automatic notifications (dispatch, in-transit, completed) if notifications are configured in Fleet Management → Settings → Notifications.

Customers Filter

The Customers sub-section in the sidebar shows only contacts of type customer, providing a focused view for managing your customer base separately from general contacts.

Bulk Import

Download the CSV template from the import dialog, fill in contact data, and upload. Addresses are geocoded automatically using linked Place records.

Notifications

Configure three automatic notification triggers per contact type:

  1. Dispatch — when the order is dispatched to a driver
  2. In-transit — when the driver is on the way
  3. Completed — when the delivery is confirmed
